So we went camping this weekend. We being Neal, Tristan, Matt, Jeremy, Brittany, Katie, Sierra and I.
It was a good trip all and all. We had some issues with the fact that we were camped on an old fire access road that was made during the fires on the mountain. The road was blocked off, but apparently some guy had still managed to get down there to camp. He had set up before we got there and then left. While he was gone we set up camp on the road. He came back at like midnight to find us. Long story short we had to move half the tent so he could pass by. Very irritating to be woken up like that. The next day was spent clearing a path for him to get through when he came back. Nothing to major, just moving three or four felled trees with 3 foot diameters. Good thing we had a 4×4 Toyota truck and straps. It was a lot of fun doing it though.
I love camping, and I am trying to plan a backpacking trip for the summer. Current possible locations are northern Arizona, New Mexico, or Colorado. I will be spending some time looking at each to narrow it down. Arizona would be easiest, but Colorado has a lot to offer.
Unfortunately backpacking requires a great amount of time, more planning, more gear, and more money in general. Gear isn’t cheap. You can rent some things, but others you will either have to borrow or buy. I have my own gear, but I think I am the only one who does. This could become a very limiting factor on those who could go. We shall see how it all develops, but I really want to go backpacking sense I haven’t been in a few years.
I have put the photos from this trip into the slide show. You can also download the pictures, tho they are only really suitable for computer use, and not for print.

So I started working on a concept for the new Priority web site today. I ended up going in a different direction then I originally planned, but I like it so far. I originally intended to do a more flexible design, but this came to me in a dream last night (quite literally) and I needed to give it a try. You can click the “P” logo to see the design. The yellowish screen thing at the top with the logo in upper left hand corner will have some flash animations in it, probably a different one for every page eventually. The flash could also help to present things like sermons or videos from different events. Basically the flash part of the site will serve to present different types of media so it really will have a practical side to it. The general navigation will be on that brick tower thing out the left hand side. Though I expect there will be secondary navigation for more specific parts of the site. The lower white box will house the main, text base content. I realize that I need to resize some things and make sure it works in smaller windows, and that will be done. But for now I figured I would get some critiques. If you have any questions as to how parts will function or whatever, let me know. I look forward to some good suggestions.

So I purchased Ikaruga the other day. I got a used copy off of Amazon.com for 25 bucks. It is a rare game, and if I had wanted a new copy I would have had to pay at least a 100 bucks for it. Yeah, I am happy with my used copy
I have to say that it is harder than I remember it being. I will have to get more practice in. For those of you who are not familiar with the game, click the image and it will take you to a video review of it. I really don’t have the time nor desire to go into its description. Watch the video and be amazed.
Unfortunately, I lent my brother my Game Cube a while back, and when I finally asked for its return, it came back to me with my memory card missing, my copy of Smash Bros. gone, and with one less controller. His response was, “You sure you had three controllers?” I think I would remember something like that. He did give me some money for the Game. I should just go and buy another copy. But with only two controller there doesn’t seem to be much point. The memory card is still MIA, which had my half completed Metroid Prime game on it. Why half completed, because my brother inadvertently sold my copy of it, thinking it was his.
So now I need to go out and buy a new memory card, granted the game is more of a play it all the way through in one sitting, space shooter type game but it does keep track of you scores and what have you. I don’t think I am going to lend out anymore of my stuff to people, unless I really really really trust them. I don’t mind bringing it over and letting them use it when I am around. But nope, no more lending. borrower nor lender be.
