Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have it full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

So I have updated the Gravatar support on the site. It now works with a cache so that they don’t take so long to load. That and with this new pluggin I now have a menu to manage the gravatar settings, which is nice. These were two of the reasons I updated the pluggin. That and the old pluggin was no longer working. I think this is due to all the changes that have been going on at Gravatar.
Also, if you want a specific gravatar for this site, you can specify one for your account. If you have a custom one that you would like me to host on this site, then e-mail it to me and I will put it up on the server and add it as your gravatar, or else send you the path to it. I only ask that any local gravatars that you want to use on this site be 40px by 40px. If you have an official gravatar on the Gravatar site, then don’t worry about the size, It is automatically resized on the site. It is only the local ones that have to be sized specifically.
Now, as I stated earlier there has been a lot going on at Gravatar. Tom Werner, creator of Gravatar, is in the middle of re-engineering the whole thing so that it all runs much much faster. Unfortunately because of this all account activity is down currently, including new account sign up. So if you don’t have an official Gravitar account already, then you are just going to have to wait. But Like I said earlier, if you want one here then you can set up an account and I will be happy to host the image on my site, as long as it is only 40px by 40px. If it exceeds the 40px size, it will promptly be deleted. Thanks you and have a nice day.
